A FRIENDSHIP WITH THE ENGLISH GENTLEMAN

A FRIENDSHIP WITH THE ENGLISH GENTLEMAN

Life & Times of Saradiel the Outlaw - 7

The heart of youth are often filed with high ideals and goodness towards their follow-beings but there are moments when they lose their temper especially when they see injustices and wrongs done to helpless people. In coming to their resent, the youth may fall foul with the law.

During their young days their innocent hearts are impregnated with lofty ideals such as what is right and wrong, justice and injustice, and fair play and victimization. Youth should be allowed to carry these ideals irrespective of party division. Youth growing up inculcated with lofty social ideals may find themselves facing barriers in helping the under privileged. Faced with such situations there would be a breakdown in social behaviors.

At times, knowingly or unknowingly, the tendency is for a young man confronted with injustice to society is to fight the injustice disregarding penalties in breaking the law. They will fight evil and injustices to people. However, in their tying to stand up against injustice will infringe upon the penal code: that is, for taking the law unto own hands.

The proper civil course of action to right a wrong is to reason into with the aggressor party peacefully and arrive at a consensus rally than hurting the aggressor. Whereas punishment given to an animal may be deference however will not work with man threatened with punishment. On the contrary, a man fighting for just causes will not be deterred by barriers and centime to struggle against injustices. Those fighting for justice will only be headstrong. Therefore the best way to prevent the law being taken to own hands is to provide exemplary guidance to the youth in approaching these issues of injustice. Needless to mention that those who adopt peaceful resolution will enjoy the benefits of long life as well as against those who prefer punishment ending up prematurely in death.

In the contact of the above discussion, let us look at the way of doing things the Saradiel way. It is not that Saradiel was not brought up to behave respectfully with good thoughts in his teenage and as a youth. These were instances where Saradiel as a teenager came forward to stop the bullying a group of poor children wherever they were playing by the children of Radala high caste families. Saradiel harbored these grievances in his heart.

It is an accepted principle in civilized society to come to the assistance of victims who fall prey to gangsters and robbers. Unfortunately, there is no legal provision in the country’s penal code to accept this act under a limited time it arises.

The outcome of Sardiel’s experiences in fighting for just causes such as saving victims at the hands of gangsters and so also fighting the children of Radala families was nevertheless taking the law unto his own hands. To saradiel, fighting for right against wrong was fulfilling his magnanimous and lofty ambitions and therefore a breach of the law was not much preponderant in his mind. Saradiel was preplaced by the fact that fighting against wrong was fulfilling his magnanimous and lofty ambitions and therefore a breach of the law was not much preponderant in his mind. Saradiel was perplexed by the fact that fighting against injustice Intel penalization, so also defending an innocent victim from a wrong doer also resulted in breach of law. To him both stands taken were inconclusive and negative. His experiences in his fight fro justice on behalf of the poor and the down trodden fulfilled a social obligation to society.
